The Rho
The Rho flatbed/direct to media UV inkjet printer. (Digital screen press). This machine is a recent development in large format printing.
- It can print direct to flat/rigid sheet substrates, anything from paper to card, plastic, metal or glass, eliminating the need for mounting and laminating.
- Rho can also print onto virtually any uncoated roll media.
- UV inks are ideal for outdoor printing applications being both waterproof and having a good resistance to fading.
- Its applications include indoor or outdoor graphics. It offers a lower unit cost product for low to mid volume digital display print, with very acceptable inkjet quality upto 1.6m/60"/5ft.
- Direct digital printing on the Rho has a wider range of applications than Laserchrome, particularly with its outdoor print capablities.
- This new device closes the gap somewhat between digital printing and traditional screen printing.
